Uniform Policy
At Marner Primary School, we believe that wearing our uniform with pride is an important part of fostering a sense of belonging and promoting high standards. All pupils and families are expected to adhere to our uniform policy, ensuring that children are presentable, comfortable, and ready to learn.
Uniform
- A blue sweatshirt with the Marner Primary School logo.
- A white polo shirt (with or without the school logo).
- Black trousers, skirt, or pinafore. Skirts and pinafores should be knee-length or longer.
- Black shoes that are flat, sensible, and fully enclosed. Trainers are allowed if all black.
- Socks or tights must be plain black, white, or grey.
Optional Items:
- Black shorts may be worn during warmer weather.
- Blue gingham summer dresses are also permitted during the summer term.
- Plain black or navy coats can be worn over the uniform during colder weather.
Additional Guidelines
- Head coverings, such as hijabs or turbans, must be plain and without embellishment, in black, white, or blue.
- Jewellery should be minimal and safe. Pupils may wear a plain watch and small stud earrings. Other jewellery, including smartwatches, is not permitted.
- Hair must be neat and appropriate for school. Hair accessories should be plain and in school colours (blue, white, or black). Marner Primary embraces all Afro-hairstyles and adheres to the Halo Code to ensure all pupils feel included. Shaved designs or patterns in hair are not permitted.
- Makeup is not permitted, including nail varnish or acrylic nails.
- Hats and caps must be removed before entering the school building.
PE Kit
On days when pupils have PE lessons, they should wear:
- A Blue Hoodie (coming soon) with or without the Marner Logo
- A white PE t-shirt with or without the Marner Logo
- Black shorts or plain black tracksuit bottoms
- Black plimsolls or trainers.
